Ottawa June 2014: Applied Informatics and Research Inc. announced today that it has been selected by AIR CANADA to provide Flight Data Monitoring (FDM/FDA/FOQA) Services to Canada’s National Flag carrier for at least Five (5) years.
Founded in 2007 by Steven Roberts, Applied Informatics and Research Inc. is a software development and analysis company specializing in all aspects of flight data enquiry including Flight Data Monitoring, Computer Animation and Mathematics Analysis and software development solutions focussed on their Flight Analysis System (FAS) software toolsuite. Air Canada’s FDA program will be based upon the Aerobytes FDM Software which is being extensively programmed by Applied Informatics to support Air Canada’s analysis requirement. Further, Aerobytes and Applied Informatics continue to work closely with Air Canada to develop enhanced reporting, research and data-mining capabilities. As part of the evolution, Air Canada has just adopted the new Applied Informatics FASET Animation System to support all aspects of Flightline Brief-Debrief, FASET is fully integrated with Aerobytes FDM. The Air Canada FDA System will include analysis and animation related to the Airbus 319/320/321 and Embraer 190 as well as the Boeing 767, B777 and B787 fleet.
